Three-time winner of the annual Washington Area Music Association “Wammie” award for Children’s Artist, multiple award winner in five different categories of the well-respected Mid-Atlantic Song Contest, and former three-term President of the Songwriters Association of Washington, “mister don” has been teaching and performing his music for audiences of all ages since 1995, the first 15 of which were in the Washington, DC area. After 6 years of teaching and performing on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, mister don relocated in 2016 to Baltimore, which serves as a better base for his regional performance schedule. Utilizing hand and body motions, colorful scarves, sing-along songs, rhythm instruments for everyone to play, dancing, marching, spinning, and jumping, every mister don performance, class or recording is guaranteed to be an interactive delight for participants of all ages.
